Every room has a spectacular view across the water of
Hawkins Island, Spike Island and the city harbor backed by
the snowcapped Chugach mountains. Even the Stowaway Room has
a view of the water and Mt. Eyak.
First timers to Alaska and
the bed and breakfast experience relax visibly as soon as
they board the barge. Nautical artifacts, antiques and
collections of all kinds lend to the nautical
atmosphere.
We give Cheechakos and
Sourdoughs an Alaskan experience at least once at the
breakfast table but every day is the Cook's choice for the
purpose of variety. If you go away hungry it is because you
choose to do so. Comparable breakfasts in the local
restaurants cost $10 - $20.

• All of our rates
include a full, hot breakfast every morning.
• A sample breakfast is: Sourdough Pancakes, Alaskan
Reindeer Sausage, Magic Muffins, Juice, Coffee, tea or hot
chocolate.
• Private and semi-private rooms available.
• Private rooms include full facility bathroom.
Semi-private indicates toilet and sink in room; shared
shower.
• Common areas, microwave, refrigerator / freezer
space, TV w/vcr in common area, library, fax, internet
access are available for our guests. Gear Shed provides
kitchen privileges for guests staying in that facility.
• Smoking policy: No smoking in buildings. Smoking area
provided outside.
• Sauna: Cedar lined sauna for warmth and
relaxation
• Children: Well behaved children allowed if they bring
their parents, grandparents or guardian. No charge for
children 8 years old and under. Misbehaving children spend
time with Captain Bligh in the brig.
• Pets: Please advise if you have pets and we will
try and accommodate you.
• Groups of six (6) or more our specialty.
