CLASS FISHING ADVENTURE Greetings from your hosts Gary & Gaye McDowell at the Cordova Rose Lodge in beautiful Cordova, Alaska! Thank you for choosing us to host your Alaskan adventure this year. For those of you that have never been to Cordova or enjoyed a stay at the Cordova Rose Lodge, you should be prepared to experience the trip of a lifetime. From our warm hospitality and home cooked meals at the lodge, to Cordova's breathtaking views and incredible fishing; Cordova is Alaska at its best!
Welcome to Cordova! Upon arrival at the Cordova airport, you will be greeted by a Cordova Rose Lodge staff member who will provide your transportation to the lodge. Our staff member will have a van waiting outside the airport and will assist you with your luggage and gear. The trip into town is approximately 12 miles and you will head to the lodge. At the lodge, we will help you unload your luggage and gear and settle in to your rooms. We are unable to serve wine due to local regulations, however you may pick up your own wine to enjoy before dinner. We will be happy to provide transportation to purchase the wine or anything else you may need to get in town. A home-style dinner will be served in the evening. DAY 2 - Halibut Charter & Silver Fishing on the Eyak River Good Morning! A hot breakfast will be served at a time designated by your group (you just sign up on our breakfast board the night before). Coffee and muffins are ready one hour prior to breakfast. Today we will divide you into two smaller groups for your adventure activities, Group A and Group B. Group A - Halibut Charter Group A will embark on a full day of halibut fishing aboard the Sea Sound with Captain Bill. Captain Bill has an extensive knowledge of the Prince William Sound waters from his 20+ years of working as a commercial fisherman along the coasts of Alaska. Captain Bill has hosted specials for TNN and the North to Alaska series with Larry Csonka. The halibut charter will leave from the Cordova Harbor around 8:00a.m. The harbor is approximately 5 minutes from the lodge, and one of our staff members will provide your transportation. The charter includes all fishing and safety gear, lunch on-board, additional snacks and soft drinks for the day. Captain Bill will dress out your catch at the docks and we will process, vacuum pack, and freeze your catch on-site at the lodge.
Group B will set out to fish all the hot spots along the Eyak River. Get ready because the Eyak River produced some of the largest silvers caught in Cordova during the 2001 season! After breakfast, your river guide will meet you at the lodge and provide your transportation, roughly 15 minutes, to the Eyak River where your boat will be waiting in the water. The River trip will include a local guide, safety gear, riverboat, lunch on the shore, additional snacks and soft drinks, and lots of great fishing. Your catch of the day will be brought back to the lodge to be processed, vacuum packed and frozen. Both groups will arrive back at the lodge with plenty of time to clean up and relax a bit before dinner in the evening.
Rise and Shine! Following breakfast, Groups A & B will reverse roles from Day 2 and set out for a halibut charter with Captain Bill or silver fishing along the Eyak River. For detailed itinerary information - See Day 2. Both groups will arrive back at the lodge with plenty of time to clean up and relax a bit before dinner in the evening. DAY 4 - Rainbow Trout Fly-in Fishing Good Morning! After a hot breakfast, we will provide your transportation for the short 10-minute ride to Lake Eyak. Today will provide the truly unique experience of remote fly-in fishing. Your floatplane will take off from Eyak Lake and head towards the Copper River. During the approximate 35-minute flight to Lake Summit, you will enjoy unbelievable views of the terrain.
Your catch of the day will be brought back to the lodge to be processed, vacuum packed and frozen. You will arrive back at the lodge with plenty of time to clean up and relax a bit before dinner in the evening. DAY 5 - Fishing on the Eyak River

You will have time for one last lodge-cooked breakfast before you head home. We will help you load up your gear, luggage, and catch (packaged for travel) into a van and our staff will take you to the airport. Until next year... Your Adventure Package
includes: This World Class 6 day fishing adventure is based on 4 persons. But as in all our adventure trips, we will arrange your package to fit your group and your budget. Cost is $1995.00 per person, this includes Cordova 12% tax. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. Your
pilot will drop you off at Lake Summit for an uninterrupted
day of rainbow trout fishing. As always, bring your rain
gear and waders to make your experience the best. A lunch
basket will be provided along with extra drinks and snacks.
Your pilot will return at a pre-arranged time that afternoon
and fly you Back to Lake Eyak, where one of our staff
members will be waiting to bring you back to the lodge.
Rise
and Shine! Following breakfast, you're off for another
spectacular day of fishing along the Eyak River. As earlier
in the week, we will provide your transportation and
everything will be ready when you arrive at the river. There
is always a new spot to try along the river or you can fish
some of your favorite spots from earlier in the week. Your
guide will work with you as necessary to move around so that
everyone is catching fish. The day's trip includes a local
guide, safety gear, riverboat, lunch on the shore, and
additional snacks and soft drinks.
